Orders on hold (test takers)

This page is for GED test takers whose order is on hold. If you are a third party, please go to the Orders on hold (third party) page.

To check if your order is on hold, sign in to your account and click Order Status. You may see one of these hold reasons:

  • No candidate found
  • Manual review
  • Record research

Each of these hold reasons means that the system was not able to match your order with your GED record automatically. This may be due to a number of reasons, such as a shortened version of your name being entered into the system. When this happens, we investigate these orders manually and can usually make a match. If we cannot make a match, we will investigate further and may look for the hard copy of your record. This may take 2-4 weeks.

If your order is on hold, please be patient while we try to find your record. If we are unable to find your record, we will send you an email.
