Error message: 'The record you are trying to add is already matched with the following user:...'

If you get this message when trying to add your school to your account, this means that we already have a record for you with your school associated to it. However, the record we have is tied to a different email address. 

This is the entire message:

“The record you are trying to add is already matched with the following user: A**********@gmail.com.  Please sign in with that account to place a request (or to remove the school from your account).  If you believe this is in error, contact us using the Help Center.” 

Your other email address will appear where you see A********@gmail.com above. For security reasons, you will not see the entire email address.

If you cannot sign in with the other email address
Reset your password. If you don't have access to the other email account to reset your password, you will need to contact us. 

Merge accounts
If you can access both accounts, you can then merge them together. Go to the Merge account document for instructions.
